Their marketing team was sending the same promotional emails to their entire database with no segmentation or product relevance logic. We were engaged to implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud with an AI-powered product recommendation engine, transforming their marketing from volume-based to relevance-based.
All emails were one-size-fits-all with no reference to customer history. 72% of carts were abandoned with no automated follow-up. Missing out on high-intent signals, such as wishlist items. Campaign creation was slow and manually driven.
Built a logic layer to surface Recently Viewed and Frequently Bought Together items in every email. Created multi-stage triggers (1hr, 24hr, 72hr) to re-engage customers who left items behind. Deployed Win-Back and VIP Loyalty journeys to nurture existing customers and encourage repeat buys. Implemented Back in Stock and personalized sale notifications for previously viewed products. For the marketing team's day-to-day use, we built a library of modular email templates with drag-and-drop product slots pre-wired to the recommendation engine.
